James Edmund Baumgartner, MD is a board certified and well-respected pediatric neurosurgeon. Dr. Baumgartner specializes in traditional and minimally invasive surgical procedures for children and adolescents who are suffering from epilepsy or seizure-related disorders. As the surgical director of the Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Center at Florida Hospital for Children, Dr. Baumgartner has earned a reputation in his field for his surgical skill and positive outcomes. Working closely with the rest of the team in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, his goal is to relieve the severity of symptoms and increase the accuracy and success of seizer-related procedures.
